30D, 24-70 f.8L both handheld, im still getting the hang of this so be easy on me.. SLR cameras is a tricky tech to learn...

Very nice pictures. The second one is a little over exposed, but those are great quality pictures and your youngin is a natural model :)

Beautiful shots! Although the 2nd one is overexposed, I love the detail you can see in her left eye.

Yea no matter what I do the little expo comp scale moves autmatically, im not sure if its sospouse to or not.

I'm sure you can control the exposure, but I don't know how it works on the 30D. This would be a good question for the Canon forum.

It depends what mode you are in. All the auto modes will manually adjust the exposure comp. If you shoot manual settings, you might shoot in the M mode. This is the only manual setting mode that sets exposure comp for you. If you want to set the exposure comp. switch to Av or Tv priority mode. There you can selectively change the comp.

that might explain it. I shoot im M alot and Av form time to time when im lazy. All though Av seem to yeild good results alot of the time.
