Sony DSC S-40: LCD screen is showing white screen only

Hi,
The LCD screen of my camera is not showing anything except a white screen once the power is on. This happened few times but after that LCD used to be normal automatically. But this time it is not going back to its normal function even after several days. However, even I can not see the picture on LCD but I can take picture using the view finder. In this case obviously I can not change the setting. I did not find any solution from the trouble shooting pages of the camera manual.

Could anybody help me in this regard? I shall be grateful then.

Hi, I´m facing the same issue... I took a picture then turned the camera off, and in less than 5 seconds turned it on and the screen was white...

I need help, because this camera is not mine:eek:

My camera is doing the same thing. Did you ever get a reply? I'd like to know so I can try and repair it.
