Hey there, I'm totally new to digicams etc (I got my first camera a couple of days ago) and was just wondering what you thought of my pictures, just for me to see if im on the right track.. or if I'm doing something really stupid. :o

The shot of the pink flower was taken with my girlfriends Nikon SQ and the other two were taken with my Canon SD700 IS.

I would really like some help with the night shot, anything I could do to make it better (keeping in mind that I have very limited manual controls).

Thanks in advance for any feedback

The first and second shots show an excellent sense of composistion...I personally really like the first one a lot. Well composed silhouettes are always winners. The only thing you could try is playing with the sky in software and seeing if you get anything more out of it. But I don't think it's really necessary. I think the shot works the way it is...and shows what you can do with a pocket cam...

Thanks for the coments JTL. I played around a bit with the night shot and came up with this:

It looks better to me, but I think I might have went a bit to far :D
