Hey guys, went to a show last night thought I would share a few pics. Here is a link to the bulk of them. http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k320/livelifelivepics/?sc=1&addtype=local

Nick thats an excellent set of concert shots. It looks like you use pretty good lenses from your sig but I was wondering how close to what you posted could be done with the standard kit lens? The reason I ask is that I have an FZ20 at present & have been struggling with concert shots & was wondering how much better one of the basic dslrs would be. Lenses would have to come later I'm afraid :(

Thanks Phill, I couldn't get the shots I have with the kit lens. The kit lens 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 would be at F stop 5.6 at 55mm. I shot at 50mm in all those pics with an F stop of 2.0-2.5. I set the camera to underexpose about a stop too so I can get a faster shutter speed and I like the look too. I don't use my 28-135mm at shows.

I'm sure the Xt will be on sale soon because of the XTi. As of now, here are some prices for the kit I use. The prices are in Canadian but you can get an idea of what the stuff costs. Rebel XT with Kit lens $900. Rebel XT body only $750, 50mm F1.8 $120. So the body with the 50mm 1.8 is cheeper than the kit and it would give you simular results to what I've got. Hope this helps If you have any questions don't hesitate.

Thanks Nick sounds like a good low light set-up. I think I'll look out for some deals on the 350D nearer the end of the year as the new 400D gets more established.
