I just shot a wedding last weekend and fired about one hundred plus pictures with my Nikon d70s using a SB-600 flash unit. I had Energizer batteries in the flash.
The flash was firing fine, but I decided to change batteries before the recieption. When I ejected the batteries, they came out HOT! Hot enough to blister one of my fingers when they slid out.
Has anyone else experienced any problems similar to this? I thought about contacting Nikon, because I'm concerned the batteries could get hot enough to melt the plastic on the inside of the flash unit.
