This is an extension of my thread that you'll see a few spaces down the board. I will put both pictures on here this time to show how the right hand side of my camera always blurs even when the rest is in focus.

The first one is the newsest one, taken today after "resetting" my camera like Sony asked (very helpful Sony! ). As you can see, the background (trees) are sharp on the left and fuzzy on the right, the boats in the center and left are sharp but the boat on the right is fuzzy, and in the forwground the grass in the center and on the left is sharp, and the grass on the right is fuzzy.

The second picture was on the old thread, and was taken yesterday. The right trees are blurred while the left and center are not, and the right building is blurred, while the left part of the building is not.

After seeing these pictures, and seeing the thread from a couple days ago a couple posts down from this one, does anyone have any suggestions? Could the lens be dirty? Could the camera be broken? Could it be user error?

These are how all my pictures are coming out. I'm sick of cropping off the right hand 1/4 of every picture :-(

What do you have your metering set to?
In Menu mode go to Metering, select Spot Metering,
see if this makes a difference.

I'm not a Sony owner, but I had a Konica Lexio 70W film camera which had the same problem - but even more pronounced. It didn't happen with all shots, though. I suspect that it was a problem with one or more of the lens elements, and that it only showed up at certain apertures or focal lengths.

I had it sent back to Konica Minolta (back when they existed) and they sent it back, and they supposedly did something to the camera, but whatever they did, it didn't fix the problem.

All I can say is, I think it's some problem with the lens, and if you send it back to Sony, I hope you have better luck having your camera fixed than I did.
