Hi
I have recently purchased the FZ20 and am having alot of trouble finding optional accessories in Australia, I am looking for an AC Adaptor (DMW-CAC1) and Panasonic Australia says they are not in the country yet, has anyone found one online or a compatible version I can buy in Australia?

Any help would be great, thanks :)

There are quite a few people using a generic AC adapter that is 7.5 volts with good results.
They can be purchased in the USA at Walmarts but I imagine any discount dept store would have them.
Follow this thread

And you can find this on EBayEAgle imports (http://store.yahoo.com/eagleimports/av-mp77u.html)

Just a warning. Make sure that the plugpack is regulated, otherwise the voltage will be all over the shop. At low loads, a 7.5 Volt adaptor could easily be well over 10 Volts!

Also the centre pin must be positive and the outer sleeve negative, otherwise you might end up with an expensive pile of smoking plastic and glass.

I use the mains adaptor from my old Kodak DC3400, works fine.

I agree that Panasonic Australia are a bit lacking on the (non) optional accessories. Mains adaptors and remote shutter releases are NOT luxuries.
