Hi all,
I am new to the board, and this problem may seem sort of rudementary to all of you, but I'm not a very experienced photographer, and I need help.
I recently purchased a Sony DSC W50. Not the best thing out there, but in my affordability range.
Anyways, it seems like I can NEVER get the entire picture to not be blurred, under any circumstances. For a while I assumed the auto focus was focusing on things right in the center and blurring things on the edges...so I switched over the manual focus at unlimited distance. This helped...but now the right hand side of EVERY photo is blurred (see example attached..please note I had to reduce the size a lot, but if you look you can see how the trees and the building on the left is in focus, and on the right neither is in focus).
This has me puzzled. All my pictures, no matter what the light (but especially in the day) are in focus in the center, top, bottom and the left...but not on the right..no matter what. I suppose I can crop it off but that I'd rather not have to do that with all my pictures.
Sony told me to reset my camera by removing the battery. I will try that tomorrow when it's light out again. But I feel like that's too simple a fix and I know I've taken out the battery before.
Is my camera messed up to be blurring on the right hand side when on unlimited distance focus, and blurring all around the edge of the picture on auto focus? Or is it my fault?
Please let me know what you think. Thanks so much!:)
