Help this dude out? It looks like someone who has more passion for the almighty dollar than photgraphy to me.
Im too new to photography to give any good advice, but if I were a seasoned veteran, I certainly would not reply.

yeah some people devote 40 hours a weeks for years and years at jobs they don't even like cuz it pays the bills and allows for a functional life. life ain't easy for everybody. if someone can make money $$$ with photography then all the better

haha. I've been self employed since about '03. I'm never rich but at this point I'd rather be poor than have a boss. I tried to go to work with a friend as my boss just to help her out but I didn't even make it past the clocking in. I told her I couldn't do it. I just can't do the whole -schedule, boss, bustin butt for a teeny weeny paycheck- thing.

i once had a job were my bosses were really nice (with one chick being really gorgeous) and then went to a job where the bosses really pissed me off. after that i hated the very idea of possibly having other crappy bosses trying to tell me what to do (i kept getting in trouble for not conforming :D ). my line of self-employment is pretty tiring though...

I am very fortunate to have a boss that I really do get along with, he also pretty much lets me get the job done my way.
