Jeff, something which I just discovered (in all yours Pentax K100 photos): some stuck (or "dead") pixels. Is this normal for such a big sensor ? In my opinion, it is not. Also the metering is Center-weighted Average instead of Pattern. I wonder why?

All answers would be appreciated.

I know I am not Jeff but:
1) Dead pixels are common, however that doesn't mean that I find them acceptable (or anyone else for that matter) - The manufacturer would replace the camera (usually) if it were purchased like that and discovered immediately.
1a) I don't think Jeff cares about the dead pixels as all the cameras are on loan and are not owned by him
2) Center weigting allows for a more even/specific exposure - it was probably used on this shot because there was very bright sunlight and very harsh shaddows and Jeff was trying to get the proper exposure..

On all photos the metering system is set to Center-weighted (this method averages the exposure of the entire frame, but gives extra weight to the center-ideal for portraits for ex). I think the Multi-segment system (pattern) is offering the best exposure for the other shots. I think some photos are not expoxed proper.
