Whats a good polarizer filter for a canon s3? I need a 52mm, and I want a good one, just not a crazy expensive one. And can i put a uv filter over a polarizer to protect it, since the polarizer is more expensive?
Thanks A Lot.

You have five Hoya's to choose from once you click on a filter you will see the discounted price. My recommendation Hoya Pro1. because I have one. lol

That's semi redundant and more importantly unnecessary.

The more stuff you add the more you degrade the image

I too have wondered about filters and additional lens. I assume additional lens, such as those made by Lensmate wouldn't degrade the image, would they?
How about a filter to protect the lens itself?

Can anyone help answer this? (above)

Lensmate does not make filters or lens. they do sell some though. By their very nature filters effect the light passing through them. Some are more effective than others by way of build quality. The same would hold true for lenses. There are good ones and there are bad ones.
edit: I have found that an adapter prevents me from accidently touching the lens. The camera is pretty small compared to my hands and they had a tendency to find the front lens too often for my likeing.
