NEW Olympus FL-36 FLASH

I have seen a number of press releases for the new Olympus FL-36 flash, states due Nov 2004, does anyone know when they are due to be available?

In the USA or Europe.

Questions on the FL-36.

Is this new flash going to work as smoothly with the C-Series cameras as the FL-40 did?

I have read the the FL-50's foucus assit lamp doesn't work outside Oly's Dslr's and that the FL-36 is based on the FL-50.

If this is the case then sourcing a FL-40 may be the best route for users of the C-Series cameras.

Point to note is that the FL-36 has 2x AA batteries and the FL-40 & FL-50 have 4x, this should indicate that the FL-36 may recycle slowly and have a shorter operating life before recharge.

Has anyone found any one with stock of the FL-36 yet?

I was meant to have been shipped in the USA from 1st December.

I know Adorama have it on pre order.
