The A710IS is listed as the second camera to be reviewed here for Sept. Soon we will get the scoop on the new "Safety Zoom" and "Digital Teleconverter" modes.

That's on the Canon USA site, also, but it's just specs. It doesn't say how well the camera works. For that we need a review.

That camera looks pretty good. I didnt think they could fit the IS into a little P&S like that but i guess they can.

Think we will eventualy see the S2 specs in a P&S? 12X, IS and all the other goodies.

Maybe not 12x soon but 8x-10x with IS by Spring 2007 is what I'm hoping for. The TZ1 already has 10x with IS but not all the goodies (VF, AA's, USB 2.0 high speed, full manual controls).
