Hi there, Can u please help? After Visiting Cyprus for two weeks fo a holiday I returned home to input 313 pictures via Picture project onto my PC, no problems there, on doing so I cleared off all of the pictures from my memory card in order to choose the best ones to print off. After choosing the photo's and highlighting them all, all you need to do then is drag them back into the f drive on my PC to place them back onto my memory card to get them printed by my local photo store, but after the PC seems to be loading the shots back on to the m/c they are not on there when you deploy the viewing button.

Firstly is it possible to return data to a memory card to print off shots with the D50, I have a Coolpics Nikon digital as well and have done this before and it works, but even this one will not accept them, I'm really fazed out by this please help if you can.

Thanks

Steve'o:rolleyes:

Dear Steve,

I've had similar problem with my old Sony camera, however it only happened when I saved pictures after resizing, adjusting colors, contrast and/or brightness.

Even rotating pictures could jeopardize the memory card reading because sometimes those softwares add info on pictures that the digital cameras do not read. Don't forget digital cameras are not windows based :)

Do you recall whether you've done sort of those things prior to sending them back to you memory card ?

If you edited the picture in ANYWAY it wont be able to be put back on the card. Atleast thats been my experience, I could be wrong. Also, make sure your dropping them back into the correct folder for the camera.

That is not quite correct. A memory card is only data storage media you can put any file you like on it - a Word.doc, a mp3, a PDF, even a program. The only thing is that the CAMERA will not be able to recognise these files or any edited image files.
If you take the card to a camera store or view the contents via a card reader the images will be there and accessable.

Thanks for the correction and clearing that up, K1W1. Looks like I worded it wrong:o

If you dont mind my asking, why wouldnt you just put the images on a CD and have the photo store get them from that. It seems like less possibility of messing up your memory card.

Yes K1W1 is right. I've loaded more than 150 images back onto my memory card, and havning resized them and cropping in photoshop. You just can't view them 'in camera'. You will be fine.
