Hi

I need your help, oh wise ones. :)

I recently got the Canon S410 and have been taking a lot of snap shots. Most recently, I took a lot of photos indoors and quite a few of them seem to be over-exposed. I know I can adjust the settings manually for this on my camera but I'm not sure at which setting I should try it out.

Which settings do you find produces the best colours and quality?

Thanks!
Mehnaz :)

My friends own one and from what I remember with the S410 you are limited to what you can do in this situation. First I am assuming that you are using the flash for indoor shots. The flash in smaller cameras tends to be too bright at close range. You can use Exposure compensation, dial in a negative value, you will have to do some experimenting to see what works. You can move farther from you subject and zoom in, again some experimenting. Using the spot metering and metering on your subject can help too.
