hi,
I am very interested in SD300/IXUS40/IXY50....becos of its functionality, speedy performance and above all big n sharp screen which is a great help to review/check the photos better than in 1.5" screen. other models with large screens are not that sharp.
My only concern is the image sensor size. here its 1/2.5" compared to 1/1.8" of S410,S500 and all A series cameras.I currently have a Nikon Coolpix3100, with a 1/2.7" image sensor.
one thing i know that bigger sensor means better light capture, low noise and so less grainy images specially noticable when we zoom in.
I guess some users have experienced both S500/S410 s and SD300/200...Can anybody tell me weather the this difference in sensor size is making quality difference in images too...

for reference, I have seen the best images on all situations from canon A70 uptill now, as for compact digi cameras.

thanks
