Dear Friends,

I bought a Canon A85 camera last week. At that time it work properly in auto mode. Now the problem was when its operate in auto mode with darker conditions and also with the flash it gives darker pics. When flash off with the same lights less darker the pictures. The situation same for other modes other than manual.

i reset the settings few times but problem is still there.Please help me in this matter.

Try a battery-out reset. Remove the batteries, let set for 24 hours, replace batteries. It's worth a shot...

Does the problem exist when in 'AUTO' mode?

Can you adjust the problem by modifying the EV compensation (EV+/-) setting?

By 'how much' is it underexposing? Would you say it is 1 stop out, 2 stops out, or more? If you don't know what a stop is, it's the same scale as EV compensation uses.

If it's a flash problem, how far away is the subject of your photograph?
