S2 IS displaying the display!

Hi Folks

I wonder if one of you clever people can help me. Everytime I power up my S2IS in shoot P mode I then have to also press the function button to show the menu with exposure compensation etc. [which I use nearly all of the time]. Is there a way of making the display show automatically on powerup? I cannot find an answer in the handbook but then again the print is pretty small.

maybe you can save it like that in the custom mode? Mine usualy comes up with the list on the left and all the stuff on the bottom but i usualy have to push function to highlight each setting.

Just to say thanks for replying folks - if only in the negative. Love that "wombat" sign, LOL, especially as it's about the same shape as this particular Wombat.
