I KNOW this is the CANON forum... but.. i saw the sunpak filters on 2filters.com and was wondering if anyone has used these filters and if they're alright. I know you generally get what you pay for and they are 20 bucks for the CP and 10 bucks for the UV.. i just can't pull myself to commit to paying so much for the hoya pro1's if these Sunpaks work only marginally- or inderscernably worse than the hoyas.

Only four more days until i go to Califronia! :D

If your not worried about picture quality then buy the Sunpak. But hoya also has offerings comparable in pricing to Sunpak. Why compare Sunpak against the best Hoya offers with a $60plus difference in pricing there has to be some disparity in there somewhere. Again keep in mind 2filter offers a Hoya CP, HMC CP, and Super HMC CP even before you get to the Pro1 series. It really boils down to what makes you happy. I'm not sure you'll be able to get a real answer to your question because your dealing with two different mindsets. In general anyone looking for the cheapest pricing won't own a Pro 1 to compare it to and if your willing to pay for a Pro 1 quality is what your concerned with and you probably wouldn't touch a Sunpak. This is just an observation I was bored this morning... hth
