Hi
trying to make up mind between above two compacts. I love the design of the Casio but have read a couple of nagative things about it.
Im upgrading after losing my cybershot w5 so am aware of functions on w70 (or lack of functions, compared to the w5!)
Also, if there are are recommendations for other cameras they would be very welcome. All details below
Any help much appreciated,
thanks

Budget
* im happy to spend £200 on the camera, not including memory case etc
Size
* I would like a compact model
Features
How many megapixels will suffice for you? minimum 5 meg
* What optical zoom will you need? standard is fine with me, I would prefer a higher optical zoom but never seem to find one on a "standard" camera
* How important is “image quality” to you? very important
Do you care for manual controls? had manual controls on my W5, although I bought a book to teach me all of the wonderful settings, I didnt use them much. But it may be useful to me to have them as Im planning on doing a basic photography course.its not essential though
General Usage
* What will you generally use the camera for? everyday - im snap happy. Also, always use it for events such as weddings, parties etc. Im the "unofficial photographer" for most occasions with friends. I always share my pics my way of online albums or prints with friends
* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not? I have never printed out larger that 7 x 5 but that is only up until now - im sure if I took a cracker of a pic I would want to enlarge it
Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? Yes,
Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? very rarely
Miscellaneous - I use my video capture a lot, so this would have to be good quality
Are there particular brands you like or hate? I have used Olympus and Sony - I prefer Sony
Are there particular models you already have in mind? Sony w70 and CASIO Exilim Card EX-S600
(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) no
