Which of this two cameras should I buy?

I can't decide which camera to buy. I was thinking about buying Canon Powershot S2, but after looking at night test photos on this site I don't like it any more. Now I am thinking about buying Sony Cyber-shot DCS-H1. It looks like this two cameras are very similar. They both have image stabilization and 12x optical zoom and this is something I was looking for when I was trying to choose a camera.

So what do you think?

PS: I am a noob and I never had a digital camera :confused:

If you're a noob to digicams, why do you think you need those big, bulky, high-zoom cameras? I know it's possible you are a veteran with film cameras so you know what your basic needs are, but something tells me this is not the case. :)

In whichever case, I think both of the models you mention perform well enough in their price range, but if you want really someone to tell you which one is the best then I guess the S2 IS comes out on top, especially if capturing movies is your thing.

Anything but Sony as they aint reliable sorry had to many bad exp with them
