Budget - up to £350

Size - preferably fairly small but not too bothered.

How many megapixels will suffice for you? - 5 megapixels and up

Optical zoom - pref 4x and up

Image quality - 8/10

Do you care for manual controls? - Yes

What will you generally use the camera for? - Diving and general use.

Will you be making big prints of your photos or not? - Occasionally

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? - Yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? - Occasionally

Need to have Marine Housing down to 40m at the least.

Join the club. I'm looking for the same thing. The ones I have found so far that might work are the Canon SD700 IS, Panasonic FX01, Panasonic TZ1, or the Casio S600. The Casio is a little older and not necessarily as good as the others, but it offers MPEG-4 video encoding - something that would be quite nice underwater for recording longer video clips while diving.

There are underwater housing available for each model I listed. Let me know what you end up going with, as I am desperately trying to pick one out as well.
