Should I buy this?

I have a Sony Cyber-shot DSC P75 which is a great little camera but if you want to zoom in the pictures it are rubbish.

I have just missed some great photos over here at Cowes Week and need a camera that I can zoom in and take close up shots.

I have just seen that Argos is selling the Sony DSCH1 at half-price. Should I buy this?

You do not say what you are looking for but presumably a good (and reasonably priced) ultrazoom.The Sony DSC H1 is a fine camera that got good reviews (see Jeff's review www.dcresource.com/reviews/sony/dsc_h1-review/index.shtml) but now obsolete.If Argos still have any and they are at half price then this should mean a price of £150-£175 which would still be a good deal.You might do better looking at its successor the DSC H2 or as an alternative I would recommend the Canon Powershot S3 IS an excellent Ultra zoom with the added bonus of a top notch Movie mode.
