General Usage

* What will you generally use the camera for? various shots (indoor, outdoor, close-ups, events - I am a scrapbooker and take photos of EVERYTHING!)

* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not? only up to 8x10

Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? yes

Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? some

Miscellaneous

Are there particular brands you like or hate? I have a Fuji that I've been happy with, but many times the pictures are not sharp in low light or with zooming

Are there particular models you already have in mind? I did some research on the Fuji S5200 and was wondering if I could get some opinions before I buy.

(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) - nothing special for me, thanks!

I would've thought the Fuji S5200 would suit the requirements you listed quite well. I had a close look at that camera a few months ago before finally settling on the larger S9000/S9500 - mainly for the wide angle.

You say you've had unsharp low light pictures. Is it possible that the shutter speed has been rather slow, leading to camera shake? The S5200 has relatively high ISO sensitivity, which will allow you to use faster speeds.
