Has anyone ordered from these guys? I am curious about their customer service. Their prices seem to be really good. I am new to this stuff, and I am looking at this camera. I hope this isnt in the wrong place.
Thanks
Joe

They are the defacto standard for on-line ordering.
Their service and honesty are above reproach. Honestly; just about anyone, when selling their used gear, will site "... bought it on BH for $xxxx on (date)". Thereby implying there was nothing wrong with the goods (not gray market etc.).
I've spent about $3K there in the last year, and I've returned 2 items without issue.
I really like their online account history. I got insurance on my stuff last month and just printed my BH history and they accepted it. I got Canon repair and needed my receipt, so just logged on and printed it (and they accepted it).

cool. so... if i were to consider buying a used camera they have for sale, and they said it was ok, i could take them at their word with no worries. would it be wise to buy a used camera?

B&H will definately acquire funds that my wife will not be happy about.;) I've done business with them without a hitch.

Vich am I understanding you correctly you bought the merchandise then subsequently purchased insurance and canon fixed the item without dispute?

I have never ordered used stuff from them but i personally wouldn't have a problem with doing such. I've ordered so much stuff from them i'd hate to sit down and add it all up. They're prompt and honest. They don't do that whole thing about tieing your order up and then making you call and try to upsale and all that crap. They're straight shooters. I ordered my 20d from them with no lens and no accessories.... to any salesperson that's an easy target for upselling. They did no such thing, they shipped it out the same day i ordered it and i got it 2 days later. If you ever have to call them they're patient and helpful. I personally would not have ANY reserves in ordering used stuff from them because #1 they're honest and if they say it's straight i'd believe em and #2 they have oustanding customer service that would take care of you if anything were wrong with the device. So happy buying.

Insurance, different from warranty.
My point; the online purchase history can be used for things like Insurance and Warranty claims if you've lost your receipt, or its just not convenient to retrieve. Often a receipt (or proof of purchase) is needed for Insurance and Warranty claims.
While purchasing Fire/Theft/Damage insurance, my State Farm Insurance agent allowed me to go online and print my purchase history. They accepted that as proof that I indeed purchased the items and to establish replacement cost (I reduced the 20D cost allowing for today's going price). :)
