Hi not sure if this is the correct topically area for this but the others didn't seem to fit either. I am going traveling next month and would like to find out about insuring my equipment for damage, loss or theft while I’m away. Where should I go about looking for this?
Thanks

So you are leaving your camera at home? Isn't it covered under your property insurance?
If you are taking it with you what about traveler's insurance?

I ended up paying for renters insurance with State Farm this then allowed me to take out what's called a personal articles policy. The personal Articles policy is the one that covers my camera gear while it’s a home or anywhere with me around the world.
You can't take out the personal articles policy without having the renter’s policy first. Also you can't insure the camera gear if you use your gear as your profession. Mine cost me $230 for everything that's for $3,500 worth of camera gear.
This was the only Insurance that I could find that would cover my gear while I was on holidayts anywhere in the world on the street or in hotel.
