You can't think about low light compacts without putting the Fuji F-30 on your list.

The "lowest light" ultra compact is the Fuji Z1/2/3. The F30 is a bit too big to be called ultra compact. The Fuji gives the best results in low light of this class, better than the 2 you list.

I agree that for low light Fuji has the best cameras. The F30 is not ultracompact but it will certainly fit in most pockets.

First of all thanks for your comments.

I am planning to buy the fujifilm Z3 but its still not available in the EU.

But now nikon announced the coolpix s7c.

It also has an ISO of 1600 but a bigger screen and wifi tool.

Would I consider buying this one or stay with the Z3?

Supporting ISO 1600 and taking useful pictures at ISO 1600 are two different things. Have you seen any images?
