I'm new here, going to be looking into getting a new digital camera due to me getting my new car. I attend a lot of meets and things and want a camera that can take some good moving shots as well as some movie clips. I was looking at the Olympus SP-350, but I don't know, I want something around the same price range but if that's not the best buy for the buck then I wanna know what I would need to get good moving shots, good still shots, and some video clips of us cruising. Any one know of what would be the best for me?

The Olympus SP-350 is a fairly average camera. According to the review by Jeff Keller, Camera performance lets it down.

For around the same price you could get a Canon PowerShot A700, it has great Image quality, great preformance, good movie mode and heaps of features and functions. It is a tough camera to bit for its price. Would be slightly more expensive.

A cheaper option would be the Canon PowerShot A620, shares most of the qualities of the A700.

Another camera, this time slightly more expensive then the A700 would be the Fuji FinePix F30, it is a good camera, but a excellent camera in low light. Would be slightly more expensive due to the higher cost of XD memory.
