Hi,
I have just been given this camera as a present. I am not a techy type of person, but am learning.

Could anyone tell me - do i really have to buy the AC adaptor to charge my battery on holiday.. I am only going for a week so will the original battery last or can i just use a normal travel adaptor with the battery charger i have currently?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

xxxx

not sure what you mean exactly from you wording. the camera comes with a charger that you plug into the wall seperatly.

I was able to take 190 some odd pictures and still had well over half a charge left on the battery.

that's pretty impressive....of course the more you use the zoom and play around with the settings with the menu....you'll drain the battery, however it's safe to assume you could take well over 200 pictures with one charge....a couple of weddings or birthday parties for sure...

Hi, I just got my DSC-T30 few weeks ago, it's really cool and fun to use. But only now I realise that this T30 did not have the feature to display Date and Time in photo downloaded to PC  . IS there anyone know how to bring out this Date and Time feature in PC?

Free software such as Exifer, http://www.friedemann-schmidt.com/software/exifer/

Your camera saves information embedded into the photo file, such as aperture, shutter speed, zoom, focusing, flash mode , time and date etc.

This Exif data can be read by suitable software.

Exifer will read each photo and then you can select to add a watermark to the photo, such as data time, your name , copyright symbols etc, whatever you want.

You can then select the font, size , color, positioning etc and the photo is resaved with the added visible watermark.
