Ihope someone can help me. I got an Olympus FE 100 for Christmas. It worked fine and I put it back in the box until today.

I attached my camera to the usb port and opened the camera software. I went to transfer images from camera. I keep getting the following message:

The software is unable to find an Olympus digital camera connected to a USB port on your computer, would you like to try again?

I've tried many times and keep getting the same thing. I know it must be something simple, but I can figure out what I need to do. I hope someone can help. I'm getting very frustrated.

Thanks in advance. :) [/SIZE]

It would help to know what operating system you are using; Windows 98, XP Home?

There's a firmware update (v 1.2 to be exact) for what you are describing:

http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_support_downloads.asp?id=1184&os=w

This is assuming, of course, your computer can see your FE-100 at all. If your computer can't see your camera, then Olympus Master can't see it either. You can verify this by looking for your camera as a separate letter drive in My Computer. If you don't see it, then try plugging it into a different USB port, maybe one in the back of your computer.

If your computer can see the FE-100, then the update should fix the issue for you. However, if your computer can see the camera, and you did the update, then the last thing to check is make sure you select "PC" on the back of your camera when you plug it into your computer.

I hope this helped!
