FZ3 Newbie plenty of Questions

I have just purchased an FZ3 mainly for everyday use as a general purpose camera.

I have tried to take indoor pictures with built in flash in P mode they all seem to come out a bit dark also the same in Simple mode.

Also I seem to get a lot of pictures out of focus outdoors.

Could someone please post settings that are easiest for a newbie like meter mode A/F mode etc then when I get more experienced i could get more
adventurous.

At the moment I am having difficulty getting any pictures sharp.

I have not used a FZ3 but I do use a FZ10 & 20 and I think the same settings will work
It would be hard to guess at the settings you may want but maybe you could try these.

Turn off continuous Auto Focus
Use spot Focus
Image Stabilizer-- use mode 2
And set your exposure compensation to - 2/3 ( this may be different on a fz3, but try it)

And I would think you want the ISO on auto.

After you change to these settings just use the program mode to shoot.
