If you're looking for a great deal, buy from B&H photovideo store online. Dont buy at Future $hop or Be$t Buy or Henry'$ or any of those canadian retailers. B&H ships to Canada for $25-30 it might not get here for a week, but hey you're saving like, $70 or more. with the low exchange rate or 13% and and tax of 14% I think its a sweet deal.
For ex: I bought my Canon S3 IS for $580 CAD + 14% tax = $661.20
At B&H its $427 USD + shipping ($29.50) and convert, so x 1.13 = $551
add 14% tax = $588.06 CAD
so thats $661 vs $588 , difference of $73 CAD
wit this left over money, u can get warranty/memory card/camera bag etc..

Seems great until you realize that Canon Canada will not service Canon USA products, for any price. Rather than getting a local dealer to ship it to Canon, you'll have to mail it back to B&H yourself and pay all those associated costs.
I understand wanting to save a few bucks, but buying new electronics across the border really is a bad idea.

Sorry for digging up an old post but I've got the exact same question and just wanted to see if there's any other details?
Any idea how long on average it takes from making an order to it arriving at its destination?
Do you get stung for import duty on digital goods from USA to Canada? In Ireland they charge up to 28% import tax on some items.
Will B&H allow you to buy with an Irish billing address and a Canadian shipping address? I'm buying the camera and getting it sent to my brother so that he can bring it with him when he visits me later this year, or when I'm over there to see him.
I've sent an email to B&H asking the same questions but just wanted to see if anyone else had some experience as well.
