Hi Dave,

I found a nice and inexpensive case at the local Wal-Mart that is just big enough for the camera and a few accessories. It is made by Targus, is black w/dark blue trim. It has an inner pocket that holds the camera in place if the case is opened in the vertical position. I don't have a spare battery, but I do think that a spare will easily fit inside (but not much else). The tag on the inside has the # DLEC200B, but I don't know if that is the model #. Considering it was only $8.00 or so, I doubt one can do better.

hth,
Phil

After much looking around I think I've found the best camera bag for the FZ3. It is the Roots Sport Model #N3. It works great for me. It holds my spare battery, extra card, and since it is neoprene it is strechy so I can even fit one of those very small tripods in it. While I bought it locally here is a link you can go to to see it.

Quote "This small black bag will hold your compact digital or film camera. It is a neoprene bag to protect your gear from the elements. The Roots logo is on the front. There is one main compartment with a velcro divider and a front zippered pocket. The front pocket will hold memory cards, batteries, and peripherals. Take it with you using the handle or go hands free using the belt loop or shoulder strap. A stylish and easy way to carry your camera gear on the go. To see if your gear will fit, check the dimensions below.

Features

Easy to carry with detachable should strap, unique double-locking belt loop or finger loop

Neoprene material provides maximum protection for today's active lifestyle
Large zippered camera compartment with padded divider
Front accessory pouch with zippered pocket on flap
Interior dimensions: 4 1/2"H x 5"W x 1 3/4"D "

Enjoy.

I work at Circuit City, we have some faux leather bags for small camcorders that would do an awesome job, would run you about $15-$20. Has a divider inside to hold the camera in one side, and your adapter, hood in the other. :)

My FZ1 lives in one of these, which I got for a song on ebay:

http://www.crumplerusa.com/products/camerabag/snauros.html

(Please note that sensitive employers may not appreciate the state of undress in which the pale, spiky-haired woman on this rather odd website models the bags to illustrate their relative sizes. In fact, the bags appear to be her only attire! Not that I have a problem with that...)

Mine's the olive/light blue color shown at the top of the page. It's not entirely clear from the website, but these are strictly shoulder bags, and can't be worn on a belt or as a fanny pack. I have the divider in it, one side for camera, the other will hold a cell phone, a very small pair of binoculars or a mini tripod (I don't carry or even own the hood or adapter, so I don't know how well those would fit). The size is fine by me, since I'm generally carrying a phone with me anyway. If you want a more minimalist bag, one of their smaller ones might serve better. It's a very well made bag, reasonably weatherproof (though not exactly submersable), nicely padded and best of all it doesn't scream "Steal me I'm a camera". If you want something a little different, I say check 'em out!

Guys,

Thanks for the suggestions, I found one in Saturn (German Retailer) and its called a Lowepro Rezo TLZ 10.

Fits the Camera if it was made to measure, and has a front pouch with an internal mesh separator for a spare battery & memory card.

Thanks guys for all the help.

Anyone find anything smaller than the afore mentioned Rezo TLZ 10? It's still seems a bit big for my taste.

Hiya,

Just for info the Camera just fits in Snug with a little pocket for a spare battery and filter.

The Rezo TLC 10 is what I use for my FZ20. It is a perfect fit. So, I would suggest you stay with that pouch if it's working for you, then if you ever upgrade to the FZ20, you're all set.

I got a $10 pouch at Best Buy for my FZ3 that I like. It is the TCP 03 from Trax. It is small enough to be worn clipped to my belt (it has a velcro strap). It also hase a seperate zippered pocket that can hold and SD card or the lens cap.
