F10 can't read xd card

I'm fit to be tied...my F10 simply stopped working. It takes pics fine, but when you try to read the xd card, it may read the first pic, then an "card read" error is generated. I've tried reformatting the card from both the computer and the camera, but to no avail. I've tried two different cards, but the errors are the same on both.

Any ideas?

What happens if your record 60 seconds or so of video?
