Hi Guys,

Well, I throughly enjoyed my day at Fairford airshow and the links below show a few of the photos I took. Surprisingly, the exposure was not too much of an issue, I too over 700 photos and only 15-20 had real exposure issues, however, focus did get me which I would appreiate some feedback on.

I suspect that "camera shake" is the main cause, + the fact the the planes are damm quick ...

Photos 1,2,4 are reasonably in focus, but 3 is "not sharp" despite the plane traveling at fairly low speed. Is it normal for a beginner to have such issues, if you look at the pics full size you will see what I mean.

All shot with the Nikor 55-200 Lens, AF-C, Large/Fine image.

Many thanks for your help and comments.

WHen I shot airshows with 35mm, I put my 600mm mirror lens on my camera, focussed at infinity, set the shutter speed and shot away until the light had changed enough to merit changing the shutter speed. Everything was sharp and in focus.
