Hello All

I have recently bought an Canon SD300 (IXUS 40 for me as I am in UK) and have a question re the optical viewfinder.

The view finder on my camera has a horizontal line across the centre of the viewfinder. You cant see this if you hold the viewfinder right up to your eye but holding the camera about half arms length, then looking through it at a bright plain background you can see the line.

Does anyone else have this on their camera?...maybe it is a crack... :(

I'd be interested to know if anybody else has this

Also what's the image like through yours...mine is a little blurred and the cross hairs appear out of focus too.

Thanks

I have checked mine, and I also see the little line in the viewfinder. I think Canon put it there, it doesn't look as a crack to me. If the viewfinder looks blurred I think you need glasses, like I do! :)
