I have a Kingston 512MB SD card for use in my PDA. I've seen no speed rating for it. Yesterday I got a Kingmax 1GB Platinum card, mostly for the FZ3 I'll be buying soon. It's advertised as 66x (or on its box as 60x). Various reviews translate 60x into approx. either 10MB or 10mb/sec. So - is it B (Bytes) or b (bits)? I ask because...
In practice, it took about 12 minutes to write 250MB of assorted mp3s via a USB2 device to the Kingston card. At 10MB/sec the Kingmax should do that in 25s, or in the real world maybe up to a minute. It took about 8 minutes, i.e. a bit faster than the 'slow' card. How long should I expect it to take to write to a 60x card, approximately - does 8 minutes suggest a problem?
Thanks
