OMG, the perfect ultra zoom/slr has arrived!
This camera if all is what it says. (the F30 sensor) The S6500 can possibly be a much better alternative than SLRs. I mean for $500 you get SLr like noise + a 28-300mm. Wow man. Imma start saving up ..lol

The 6000FD looks interesting. Hope the reviews are good, priced at $500 it might not be a bad choice.

Wow!!!! My ohhhh my. It's getting close to the ultimate. :)
I mean a point-and-shoot with high ISO - relatively low noise? hmmmm....
The only thing left for Fuji to improve is using Optical Stabiliser.
I wonder if OIS and Anti-blur can be placed in one camera?
And maybe SD cards. That will be my ultimate PnS camera.

Panasonic FZ-30 + Fuji's 6th Gen SuperCCD (F30 chip) = The Ultimate PnS (EDIT: Point N' Shoot = =')
EDIT : Actually The FZ30 with the FoveonX3 CMOS chip from the Sigma SD-10 dSLR would make a killer combo.

You really shouldn't talk like that on a public forum. There are kids watching! :D

I just don't know what you are on about. ;)
What ultimate PnS? It's not the size of your P-n-S, it's what you do with it.
On a serious note, FZ30 with useable higher ISO.... let say ISO1600 will be the ultimate.

I'm confused whether it's the S6000 or S6500. Is S6000 American and S6500 European?
Anyway, S6500FD specs are here:

yea most likely. DPReview's based in the UK and DCResource is down south in the States.
Omg, I can't wait for this camera. Must save money...

Yea thats what I was trying to say. The F30 SuperCCD HR or the SD10 Foveon X3 in place of the Venus II would make a killer camera out of the FZ30

u guys think I should bring back my S3 IS and wait for this guy? Its only like 2-3 months away. Im planning to get the FX01 as my small point and shooter to shoot the fireworks competition coming up in 2 weeks. You guys think the small point and shooter will handle me well for 2-3 months till this new Fuji comes out? :o

Looking at the close-ups of the back of this new camera: hopefully fuji has simplified their menus/functions and made them more intuitive... looks like they may have done so. Will look forward to the reviews. If this is anything like what the next iteration of the s9000 would look like, which it is likely to follow suit, I'll be really interested to see what they have done to improve/update it... exiting possibilities, and likely with ISO 3200 as well.
