Battery Storage ???

Is it safe to store a charged battery in the charger for the tz1 or will it discharge or damage the battery--would be convenient for carrying in a small case--

I do not have a technical answer but I almost always have a battery in the charger ..sometimes for weeks on end....I do not think it hurts anything.

The biggest damage that can occur is if the contacts on the battery get shorted out. That's why Panny includes the plastic battery case. For me, I use one of those miniature zip lock bags (usually included with screws for a computer part). This way a spare battery fits better in the carrying case (less bulk).

So--sounds like if the charger terminals/prongs are protected, it probably won't hurt--I am testing it to see if it drains by carry the spare in the charger for a week or so--will post the results--
