Hi All,

This is my first thread to the forum and i must say that I am glad to be here... I read lots of topics and looks like i ll learn lot of from you...

I have a question about aperture values and i ve searched over the internet but i couldn't find the exact answers. I hope you can help me...

I have a PowerShot S3 IS and I am pretty happy with that but when i look it's specifications it says ;

• F2.7-F8.0 (wide)
• F3.5-F8.0 (tele)

But I read some stuff on the internet and they say that this values can go up to F/16 F/30 etc...

What does all that means ? Did i bought bad camera ? :(

What does all that means ? Did i bought bad camera ? :(You can only manually set the aperture as small as f/8. There is no reason whatsoever with a 1/2.5" sensor camera that you would ever really need an aperture smaller than f/8 anyway. So, in other words, it's a non-issue/non-problem.
