Hi,

I'm in the US for one month (I live in Europe) and was considering buying a digital camera. However, there are two things that worry me: firstly, the warranty will be US only, and secondly, the charger.

I'm trying to figure out from the specs whether it's valid for both US and European voltage. The camera I'm considering is the Canon S500 (Powershot/IXUS), and from the different websites of canon, I don't see that much detail.

Has anybody got any experience shopping with buydig.com? They're considerably cheaper.

Thanks a lot

I had a canon S45 when we traveled to London and the charger had the correct voltage, I just needed to purchase an adapter for it to fit into the outlet. Unfortunately, my camera got stolen during that trip, so I had to purchase a new one. I did use BuyDig.com There is a thread on this forum about BuyDig and I wrote about my experience. I was concerned about the way my camera was packaged. Since posting, though, I have found out that the packaging on my camera was pretty typical. I have not yet received my camera back, but otherwise my experience with them has been OK.
