I was searching through ebay for canon s2 accessories and this lense caught my attention. its a Opteka spy lense, apparantly it can take 90 degree photos. has anyone ever tried this thing? what about autofocus, will it still work especially if the subject is directly to the side of the camera? I am not interested in this little gizmo but have a few friends that are. I dont have it but i understand how it works. Its not even a lens, it has no lenses in it, just a mirror. The image is just reflecting off the mirror in the tube at an angle so that it takes shots from the side.
You dont even need it.
With an S2 or any camera with a rotating screen you can point the camera at somthing or some one and look down and they dont even realize you are taking pictures.
For some reason we have it in our head that only when you hold a camera up to your eye like the old vintage 35mm cameras then you are taking pictures. We dont notice some one looking down at a screen in their lap or somthing. Least i dont.
