Hello

Can anyone please tell me the difference between the

Nikon 60mm f/2.8 AF Micro

And the same but with the D

Nikon 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro

The D is supposed to designate a 3D lighting metering, IIRC.

The D designation means that the lens sends distance information to the camera, telling how far away the subject is so the flash can fire more accurately.

The D will be the more recent version, and may perform a little better with one of the new Nikon flashes. If the price were significantly lower for the non-D, it would definitely be worth considering, because I don't think they actually changed the glass a bit.
