which camera? Sony vs. Canon

I'm looking at purchasing a new digital camera. I'm not professional, but I'd like to have access to manual controls so that I can tinker with photography.... And I'd like to have something that will allow me to improve in the future. The camera's I'm looking at are the Sony DSC-W100, the Canon S80, and the Canon A620. I want to get at least 7 megapixels, but 8 would be better. How do the Sony W100 and th Canon S80 compare?

Next time put it in the "Which camera should I buy?" forum, you will get mor answers :cool: but anyway all 3 cameras u mention are very good cameras. I just got the Canon A620 and it´s very good. I never worked with the sony w100 but everywhere I hear it´s a good camera. If You dont mind paying for the extra necessary for the Canon S80 it's a very good camera, I was going for her, but the price diference between the S80 and the A620 isn't worth it for all I know, but that's my opinion. Hope I helped.
