Fireworks competition shows are coming up in 3 weeks. July 28th is start date and I want to be as close as possible but also want the full beauty of the firework captured in the camera.. so im gonna need a wide angle lens right?
as well I will have other use for such equipment like 'squeezing' in people in a picture etc...
the Canon branded wide angle lens is unforunately expensive. Its $170 Canadian dollars n thats the best I can find it for. the salesman quoted me $240 but the website says $170.. anyway I was googling around and found this Raynox one (http://www.henrys.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PageDisplay?dest=frames.jsp¤cy=CAD&storeId=10001) its quite an eye catcher looking at the sample pics from here:

its a Raynox DCR-720 52mm for $90 CND. I think its a really good deal. sharp pictures and good overall build me think.. made in japan is a bonus =)
