Rebel XT V EOS 350D

Hi

I am looking into buying the Cannon EOS 350D, However I have been advised to avoid the Rebel XT model as this is inferior. Can anybody tell me the difference and what if any is the price difference.

Yea - Avoid the XT at all costs - go with the 350D ;) Some of the best advice I've heard yet :rolleyes:

They are the same thing......marketed as the 350d in Europe, the Rebel XT in the USA and the Kiss in Japan

You're both way off. Avoid both and go with the Kiss Digital N.

Come on guys! You know you are just fooling yourself. I have an EOS 350D and it makes me feel superior! No need to hide the camera because of that silly name badge (Digital Kiss N??? Digital Rebel XT???)! I can just show off my camera and feel superior ;) :D.

Now, without being silly... Although it does nothing to how nice the camera is, why did Canon think that americans like silly names? Marketing people cxan be very weird. Elan, Rebel, that all is just weird. Very VW Rabbit! And we could make fun of Pentax users because their cameras had even more ridiculous names... but not anymore! They seem to have dropped the weird *istD stuff.

Ah well.... me as sony playstation 2 owner :eek: can still make fun of the Nintendo Wii at least :D .

I bought the JDM 350D emblem and I've replaced the XT one with it! =)

I'm tempted to just peel mine off. Also maybe smack the camera around on stuff and put electrical tape in random places to give it that "broken in by a pro" look. Maybe then people will think I shoot alot and therefore am good at it.
