Purple streaking in video mode, SD630

I just got an SD630 today and although everything else is excellent, I immediately noticed some really obvious vertical purple lines when shooting video indoors, the streaks form wherever there are bright lights.. Is this normal? I previously had a PowerShot S40 and I never noticed this. Wondering whether I should exchange for another..http://nadatech.dnsalias.com/streaks.jpg

I get that but it never shows up on the image. I see it on the screen when i compose but then its never on any pictures. I thought this was just some weird freak of nature of the CCD. Its like lens flare on the CCD or somthing weird.

It almost looks like the image is over exsposed, like it hasnt adjusted yet for the brightness of the shot.

Only god knows and canon programmers what happens in ASIC or where is bugs in firmware :)

I have the same problem with my SD700.

Any soultion?
