I've been shopping around for awhile. I just bought mine last week from BeachCamera. Arrived in 2 business days. Much faster than anticipated.
I have had good luck with BuyDig.com, I also like KEH.

I got mine form Abes of Maine, but I got my S1 from Butterfly. Currently, it's $409, and if I recall, neither hassle you for add-ons and shipping was standard fair.

Don't know if this coupon still works since it was limited to 450 uses, but Dell had the S3 for $499 - 20% off coupon. Use Code: GLT?GPMG79ZXC4 Exp 7/6 6am CT.
Stackable $10 coupon for paying with Paypal. Use Code: C99$273GQ1L4W8
Bottom line is $389 shipped free, but Dell does charge tax (at least where I live).

Just print if off the internet but make sure that it has the day's date, and time as well as the price on the page(s)

How did you get that code? it took to long for the finds t get into my paypal. Target wouldnt budge from $479. so im still searching for an S3 at a decent price.

What other sites have codes like techbargain?
I have found in hunting for codes the bargains usually even themselves out and the deals usually fall pretty close to each other. In general you are going to pay around $415 for an S3, the S2, which is 95% of an S3 is going for around $300, a true bargain. The Dell Deal at $389 ends up being only marginally better than Buydig if tax is added to the Dell deal, Buydig as of my last purchase collected no tax. Sometimes if your really lucky and hit stuff at the right time you can get a bargain, or at least hope to get a bargain. I remember Dell screwing up about 2 years ago and was offering lenses for a screaming deal, like more than 50% off, but I don't think they honored it. The old adage "If it seems to be too good to be true, it probably is" definitely applies here, and pretty much everywhere if you think about it.
The Dell deal wasn't such a deal for me since Dell insists on charging sales tax and I live in NY (8.375%!!! ) . So, I went to Beach Camera instead (where I got my XT) and ordered an S3 for $417.00 no tax, no shipping charges...actually cheaper the the Dell deal...and got it delivered two days later...

"crap shoot". Their ability to provide "lip service" is rather extraordinary, but their delivery is woeful... and nearly dishonest. The bait is the price, to be sure. Ask them anythoing you want, prior to giving them what they really want... your credit card number... then your follow-up calls are ignored and you often never know what is coming next. Really, you do... the stall! :p
I do not know how many times I've been on here to hear the whining and carrying on about "Beach Camera." Be very careful... because they love to tell you it is "in stock", and then three days later... you get a call saying... "sorry, all gone... would you like..." Where they perform the 'bump'.
Good luck and I hope you get what you got coming. LOL . Personally, they will never see a dime of this boy's money. I hate dishonesty... with a passion.
Oh, BTW: If you do eventually get your Canon S3 IS from the Breach of Contract... err, sorry... Beach Camera, do not even consider a DSLR until you can pony up at least $3500 for the body and some decent glass. In fact... read this link, below, and decide wisely. It is more informative from informed sources, than anything you will get anywhere else.

When I bought the XT at Beach, they had it for $674.00. The Canon $100.00 rebate brought the cost down to $574.00 (body only). Who wouldn't by an XT at that price? :D . It arrived three days after I placed the order. Once again, no tax and no shipping charges. But, I just checked and the price is down to $659.00...that's only $559.00 after the rebate!!! Heck...there are P&S cameras that cost that much! Run! Buy! Now! :D :D :D
The Canon rebate ends on July 15th and the form has to postmarked by August 5th. So, if you're gonna buy an XT, do it now or it's like throwing away $100.00...
So, I sold my S2 and now, like Don, I have an XT and an S3 (plus a bunch of other stuff)...

Is that your company? why did you say "our reseller rating"?
I decided to wait on the XLR because of the CF memory. I still have a problem using that type of memory. Even though ive never had a problem with it ive seen many other people with bent pins and i dont want to go that route. The battery pack is another - strike against SLRs i could live with it but i wouldnt like it.

i think i know how beach camera can sell so cheap. They mark down and item a few weeks in advance. Then they wait to ship your item when the price has come down to where they make money then they ship it.
I ordered the S3 on the 7th. I still have the money in my account, and i have not got any responce fro beach camera since i ordered the camera. Here it is 4 days later and nothing has shipped but the price has come down now on the camera where i can now get it cheaper.

On tuesday i checked e-bay and found an S3 for $400. so i clicked the BIN and paid for it. I then tried to call beach camera 2 times but i was put on hold for about 20 minutes the first time, and about 10 the second. I then called paypal (they picked up instantly) i told them to deny any charges from beach camera.
Today the S3 came, and i just got an e-mail from beach camera that the charges were denied. I ordered the S3 from beach camera on june 7th and its just now being processed. It said when i ordered it on the 7th that it "was in stock and usualy ships within 2 days" i guess 2 and 6 days are about the same?
Anyway, beach camera service was not to good.
The lins to call beach camera had 3 options, 1 was sales, 2 was order assistance and 3 was support or somthing. The first time i called i chose #2 and i waited for almost 30 minutes. The second time i chose #1 and got in quick but then got put on hold by the same voice as in the beach audio recording. Maybe its a 1 man opperation?
They need more help.

It's just some ticked-off, pimple-faced 19-year-old... whose old man had a large line of credit.
Just deal with reputable sellers... not professional "discounters"... and we can avoid the complaint station of DCRP.
