Hi Guys
I was stuck on Canon S3 or Sony DSC-H2. After reading the reviews (especially dpreview (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonyh2/)) i am sold on the Sony. Just looking for deals around the web i come across the DSC-H5. Now i am confused again. Do i need to spend the extra money for H5? I am someone who like excellent quality photos and do not care for Manual Controls. But i need a powerfull flash since most of my photos are indoors.
My question is... is it worth paying the extra for H5? I don't mind paying the extra if its worth it.
Thank you.

For an extra $100 the H5 has a bigger and better LCD and 1 extra MP than the H2. Is that worth it? It's up to you.

I been looking at both the Sony DSC-H2 and Sony DSC-H5, I would of got the h5 (black body) BUT I will get H2 now because the H5 has a problem where it gets these purple outlines in high contrast photos (which can be fixed with photoshop) but I dont want to use photoshop everytime I want to take pics:)

Here is a quote from a CNET review of the H5:
"Exposures were generally accurate. Very modest purple fringing turned up in high-contrast areas, but it was less prevalent than in shots from the DSC-H2.”
There are a lot of things to evaluate if your trying to choose between the H2 and H5... but I was highly skeptical one would be much better on that issue than the other.
There are probably other considerations... but once you've worked with the larger screen, it would be VERY tough to go back to something smaller.

here is what I got from dpreview.com
the H5 has even worse purple fringing than the H2 and has slightly less impressive high ISO performance, but it seems a lot less prone to highlight clipping, so what you win on the one side, you lose on the other. At standard print sizes you'll see burnt out highlights a lot more than you'll see purple fringing, but it's still something Sony needs to address. The screen is lovely, but does come at a cost; slightly lower battery life, and the black finish is nice, but only you will know if it's worth paying extra for.
