I have EOS 30D the Canon Software cant connect to.
I use Zoombrowser 5.6. If I click on “Connect to EOS Camera” – Nothing happens, and If I click on “Connect to camera”, I got a message that the camerawindow is not compatible with my camera.

I have read this post (http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8365) - I tried to do the tips in there but nothing helps..

Anyone that have an idée for what I should do to get this up and working.
Thanks for answer

Oaa
I am using both both 5.6 (on my laptop) which came with the 30 D and 5.1 (on my desktop) which came with my 350 d which I sold. I will try to get the
Cd from my friend and upload that software if possible.
In the meantime try installing windows updates, then uninstall zoombrowser ( all versions) and then reinstall 5.6 and see. I had this problem nad when I uninstalled the 5.1 , the 5.6 worked!
luck

Edit
Are you using a older version of any zoom browser? If so -
Here is a link for a 5.6 updater. Try to download this and see

I'm having the same problem with a Rebel XT and Zoom Browser 5.6. I'll click "Connect to camera" and the following screen pops up. EOS Utility works fine, and I do have "Linked software" selected to Zoom Browser. I uninstalled Zoom Browser, EOS Utility, drivers... everything... reinstalled and same problem.

Uninstallation does not work sometimes. I just had a problem with this and went to the registry and removed any key with the name canon. Rebooted and zoombrowser installed easily

GYM & Oaa - do you have another Canon camera?? I have a G5 and if I remember I had the same issue. I honestly don't know if I resolved it because I decided to NOT download pics for the CF via the camera. My fear was that I would accidently snag the USB cable and knock the camera on the floor. I just use my card reader, then pull them up in Zoombrowser. Since I am at work...obviousely not working... I can't check to see if the issue is still there.

Thanks for the reply JM. No other Canon USB camera here. It seems like a problem with the EOS Utility and/or Zoom Browser. I fear the USB cable snag myself. I also fear the wearing out of the CF card door!
